Web design that actually works for your business
Most Irish businesses don't need a website โ they need a website that does something. Generates enquiries. Sells products. Books appointments. Builds trust before a potential customer ever picks up the phone. That's the difference between web design as a service and web design as a business tool, and it's the distinction that shapes every project we take on.
Since 2011, we've built over 1,000 websites for businesses across Ireland, from sole traders in rural Donegal to multi-location enterprises in Dublin. What's consistent across every project isn't the technology or the design style โ it's the approach. We start with your business goals, understand your customers, and build a site that turns visitors into revenue. Everything else โ the colours, the layout, the animations โ follows from that.
We're a WordPress-specialist agency, which means you get a site you can actually manage yourself without calling a developer every time you need to change a phone number. But we also build on other platforms when the project calls for it โ WooCommerce for eCommerce, custom solutions for complex integrations, and headless architectures for businesses that need serious performance at scale.
What we don't do is sell you a template and call it custom. Every site we build is designed from scratch for your specific business, your specific audience, and your specific goals. That takes longer than dragging and dropping a page builder theme, but the results speak for themselves โ our clients consistently report that their website is their best-performing marketing channel within six months of launch.
What we design and build
Every website is custom-built for your business. We don't use templates. We focus on conversion โ turning visitors into leads and customers.

What goes into a website that actually performs
A website that looks good but doesn't appear on Google is a digital brochure sitting in a drawer. A website that ranks but doesn't convert is traffic without revenue. The gap between an average website and one that genuinely drives business growth comes down to a handful of things that most agencies either skip or charge extra for โ and we include as standard.
Every site we build includes technical SEO foundations: proper heading structures, schema markup, optimised meta data, image compression, lazy loading, Core Web Vitals optimisation, and mobile-first responsive design. We also build in content architecture โ the way your pages are structured, linked, and organised to signal topical authority to Google. This isn't an add-on; it's how modern websites should be built.
Speed matters more than most businesses realise. Google uses page speed as a ranking factor, and visitors bounce from slow sites. We optimise every build for sub-three-second load times on mobile โ which puts you ahead of roughly 70% of Irish business websites. That's not a premium feature; it's basic competence that too many agencies neglect.
Then there's the bit most web designers ignore entirely: conversion rate optimisation. Where do you place the phone number? How many form fields is too many? Should the CTA say "Get a quote" or "Talk to an expert"? These aren't design decisions โ they're business decisions, and we treat them accordingly. Every element on your site should be earning its place.
Our web design process
We don't just build websites โ we solve problems. Here's how we work with you from brief to launch and beyond.
Discovery & strategy (Week 1โ2)
We audit your current online presence, research your competitors, and map out your customer journey. Who are your ideal customers? What action do you want them to take? What's working for competitors in your space? We conduct keyword research, analyse your market positioning, and define the site structure that will serve both users and search engines. You get a detailed project brief and sitemap before any design work begins.
UX design & wireframes (Weeks 2โ4)
We create wireframes for every key page โ mapping out the layout, content hierarchy, and user flow before adding any visual design. This is where we make sure the site structure supports your business goals. You see exactly what the user experience will be like on both desktop and mobile. Two rounds of revisions until you're completely happy with the layout.
Visual design & branding (Weeks 3โ5)
With the structure locked in, we apply your brand identity โ colours, typography, imagery, and visual personality. If you don't have established brand guidelines, we'll develop them as part of the project. You'll see full-colour mockups of your homepage and key interior pages. We iterate until the design feels unmistakably yours.
Content creation & SEO copywriting (Weeks 3โ6)
Content runs in parallel with design. We write SEO-optimised copy for every page โ or work with your existing content to improve it. Each page targets specific keywords with proper heading structure, internal linking, and calls to action. We handle meta titles, descriptions, image alt text, and schema markup. Your site launches with content that's ready to rank, not placeholder text that you'll "get around to" later.
Development & build (Weeks 5โ9)
We build your site with clean, semantic code. Mobile-first responsive design across all devices. Performance-optimised with sub-three-second load times. Accessibility compliant (WCAG 2.1). Security hardened from day one โ SSL, firewall, malware scanning, and automated backups. You get access to a staging site throughout development so you can see progress in real time.
Testing, QA & launch (Weeks 9โ10)
Rigorous testing across Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop, tablet, and mobile. Google Analytics 4 and Search Console setup. Conversion tracking configured. Speed testing and Core Web Vitals verification. Once you sign off, we handle deployment, DNS configuration, SSL certificates, and redirects from your old site. Zero downtime.
Training, handover & ongoing support (Week 10+)
We train your team on managing content โ adding pages, editing text, uploading images, publishing blog posts. You get video documentation and a written guide. Our support doesn't end at launch: we offer hosting, maintenance, security updates, and performance monitoring packages so your site stays fast, secure, and up to date.
Agency vs freelancer vs DIY: which is right for you?
Not every business needs an agency. If you're a sole trader with a simple service and most of your work comes through referrals, a well-built Squarespace or Wix site might be perfectly adequate โ and you can do it yourself for a few hundred euros. There's no shame in that, and anyone telling you otherwise is trying to sell you something.
Freelancers sit in the middle ground. A good freelancer can deliver excellent work at a lower price point than an agency, typically โฌ2,000โโฌ6,000 for a standard business site. The trade-off is capacity: freelancers can't offer the same breadth of services (design, development, content, SEO, video all under one roof), and they're vulnerable to availability issues. If your freelancer gets sick or takes on too much work, your project stalls.
An agency makes sense when your website is a serious business tool โ when it needs to generate measurable revenue, when you need ongoing support and development, and when you want a team rather than an individual. You're paying more, but you're getting strategy, project management, multiple skill sets, and accountability. For most established Irish SMEs spending โฌ5,000+, an agency is the safer bet.
We'd rather be honest about this than pretend every business needs what we sell. If you're not sure which route is right for you, get in touch โ we'll tell you straight, even if the answer is "you don't need us yet."
Why Irish businesses choose us
We're not a global agency. We're an Irish company that understands the Irish market, Irish business culture, and what it takes to compete online as an Irish business.
15+ years of Irish market expertise
We've been building websites for Irish businesses since 2011. We understand local SEO nuances, Irish consumer behaviour, cross-border trading considerations, and what works in different sectors across both the Republic and Northern Ireland.
Results over aesthetics
We don't build pretty websites that don't convert. Every design decision โ from button placement to colour choices โ is made to help your business generate enquiries, sales, or bookings. Your site's job is to make you money.
Custom design, not templates
No page builders. No ThemeForest templates. Every site is custom-designed and coded for your specific business and goals. That means your site looks and works differently from your competitors' โ because it should.
SEO built in from day one
Search engine optimisation isn't an afterthought or a bolt-on service. Technical SEO, content strategy, keyword targeting, and schema markup are part of every build. Your site is ready to rank the day it launches.
Full-service under one roof
Design, development, content writing, SEO, video production, photography, and ongoing support โ all handled by one team. One point of contact, no coordination between multiple vendors, no finger-pointing when something goes wrong.
Transparent, fixed-price quotes
No hidden costs. No hourly billing that spirals. We quote a fixed price for your project based on a detailed scope document. You know exactly what you're paying and exactly what you're getting before we start.

Government funding for your website project
Several Irish government programmes can fund part or all of your website project. The most widely used is the LEO Trading Online Voucher โ worth up to โฌ2,500 (with 50% match funding) โ available to businesses with fewer than 10 employees through your Local Enterprise Office. It covers website development, eCommerce, and digital marketing setup.
For larger projects, Enterprise Ireland offers competitiveness grants and digitalisation vouchers for established businesses looking to expand online. InterTradeIreland provides funding for cross-border trade initiatives, and Skillnet Ireland supports digital training and upskilling that can include website-related training for your team.
We've helped hundreds of clients through the application process for these grants. We can provide the quotes and documentation your LEO or funding body requires, and scope projects specifically to maximise your grant eligibility. Ask us about funding options when you request a quote.
